Becoming A Free Spirit (Conquering the Mind, Body, and Soul)



As we all know, life sometimes is a hard task. As we grow older and wiser, some things fade away and some things remain the same. The one thing we must learn to do is to accept change and be willing to change with time. Letting go of all past endeavors and moving forward on a positive note will be the best thing to do to move forward in life. Conquering the mind, body, and soul will lead you to a life of becoming a free spirit. It is healthy to be totally free from the weight of life; as it is unhealthy to hold on to old baggage.

The mind is the most powerful force on the planet. With the mind, we manifest our everyday situations and circumstances. Our movements, actions, and words are all configured in the mind before it reaches the body. If you keep a positive mindset, you will produce a positive life. If you have a negative mindset you will produce a negative life. Simple right? Well, yes and no, because things we go through in life have a way of polluting our minds. We are then conformed to the ways of the world and think there is no way out. This is why we have to dig deep into the roots of our problems and insecurities to figure out the real issues behind our thinking. Sometimes issues route all the way back to early childhood. Going back to face the things that happened to you in the past can be very difficult, but in order to free your mind, this has to be done. You must face the situation and be willing to forgive and totally let go. Once you make up your mind to do a task, you can fulfill that task. It all starts in the mind.

Conquering your body is very important. Your body is your temple, so you must protect it. What you put into your body plays a major part in how you think and feel. Feeding yourself processed and fake foods will definitely alter your ability to perform what your mind is capable of manifesting. Remember, it all starts with the mind. Once you make a decision to take control of your health you will be able to eliminate everything your body doesn’t need with ease. Eating a balanced diet and exercising regularly will help rid your body of toxins and also help you gain more energy to do the things you love. You will feel great and start to gain control over your mind. When you gain control over your mind, you gain control over your life. Therefore, you have conquered the mind and body.

Your soul is what separates you from every individual on this planet. Finding your purpose in life will connect you to your soul and lead you to your destination. Being at peace with everything around you will allow your soul to be free and you will begin to feel more connected to everything around you. You may find yourself more in tune with nature and you may be living a more natural life. We are all connected to mother earth from which we came. It is up to us to get back to our roots and embrace our freedom. Eating from the earth, meditation, prayer, and chakra alignments are just a few things you can do to connect to your soul on a more spiritual level. Your soul is your spiritual identity. It is what people will remember when you ascend from this earth. Once you have mastered the mind, body, and soul, you will be on the road to a happier, free life. This doesn’t happen overnight. It takes time and practice. Don’t get discouraged because we all fall short sometimes. It is just a matter of getting back up, being consistent, and making happiness a priority.

Listening to Smile: Sleepy Solfeggio Vol. 1

Everything is energy that is vibrating at various frequencies. Understanding this basic knowledge is key to opening your mind to the wonderful possibilities these sounds can offer  your life.

My experience while listening to Sleepy Solfeggio Vol. 1, by Ian Morris, as I slept was quite calming and relaxing.  I have been practicing waking up and saying positive affirmations in the morning to put my feet on the right track each day.  After a couple of days, miraculously, I’ve noticed my head has been clearer and I feel way more rested than usual.  According to the Solfeggio scale, there are special frequencies that help us reach higher levels of consciousness.  For instance: 528 Hz is said to be the miracle frequency, which helps repair DNA and facilitate change.

The Green Smoothie Diet Cleanse

Green Smoothies have helped me in so many ways!  They are delicious and convenient, but most importantly; healthy! I have personally done the JJ Smoothie Cleanse and I must say, I enjoyed every moment of it! I’ve done the 10 Day Cleanse (smoothies only for 10 days), the Modified 5 Day Cleanse (smoothies for breakfast and lunch, then a healthy dinner), and the 7 day Green Smoothie and Salad Cleanse (smoothie for breakfast and lunch, then salad for dinner).
During the smoothie diet, I feel light and I have tons of energy!  My connection with the world is at an all-time high.  To be free of all animals and dairy is such a wonderful feeling. The saying, “You are what you eat”, is very applicable. Energy never dies but is transferred: therefore, when you eat animals of any sort, you are becoming a conduit of the energy from that sentient being. Most people are well aware of the abuse and agony many animals have to go through while in slaughterhouses; so, it is easy to understand how the transformation of that negative energy into your being can be detrimental to your health. After all, we are sentient beings ourselves: WE ARE ONE. This is not about being a vegan or vegetarian; this is a basic understanding of our spirit and our needs. Consuming only plant-based foods is natural to our biochemistry. Plants are said to hold the highest frequency, which is LOVE. It’s no wonder why you may feel free, peaceful, and high while implementing the Green Smoothie Diet.  Furthermore, You are giving your body a chance to break down and process everything naturally and smoothly.  The moment you claim willpower, you can do it!

My personal experience:
For me, days 1 and 2 are a breeze.  It’s normally day 3 I find a bit challenging. After I get past day 3, the rest is easy.  This is a time I use to connect with nature, meditate, and appreciate everything around me.  I don’t focus on “not eating”, I see it as an opportunity to fast, and really focus on my life goals.  You would be surprised at how you feel from not eating all that “crap” that’s out there!  In the process, I normally loose inches, as I keep my same workout routine. (At least 4 days in the gym). I’ve noticed my endurance while working out is insane while on the Green Smoothie Cleanse.  I’ll share some of my personal favorite smoothies below!  Note: I use water instead of juice in my smoothies because I don’t like the added sugar.

Pineapple Banana Mix:
• 2 handfuls of spinach
• 1 cup of frozen pineapples
• ½ banana
• 1 tbsp.  ground flaxseed
• 1 tsp. organic hemp protein powder
• 1 tsp. organic turmeric powder
• ½ cup bottled water ( add as needed)

Fruit Fusion:
• 2 handfuls of spinach
• 1 cup of frozen strawberries, mango,& pineapples
• 1 tsp. ground flaxseed
• 1 tsp. organic hemp protein powder
• 1 tsp. organic turmeric powder
• ½ cup bottled water ( add as needed)

Banana Oatmeal:
• 2 handfuls of spinach
• ½ cup oatmeal
• ½ banana
• 1 tsp. peanut butter
• Handful of pecans
• 1 tbsp.  flaxseed
• ½ cup bottled water  (add as needed)

Peach Fusion :
• 2 handfuls of kale
• 1 cup of frozen peaches
• 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
• 1 tsp. organic hemp protein powder
• 1 tsp. organic turmeric powder
• ½ cup bottled water ( add as needed)

Mango Berry:
• 1 handful of spinach
• 1 handful of kale
• 1 cup frozen mango
• ½ cup frozen blueberries
• 1 tbsp. ground flaxseed
• 1 tsp. organic hemp protein powder
• 1 tsp. organic turmeric powder
• ½ cup bottled water ( add as needed)

First off let me say, if you have thought about getting healthy, you are already on the path to success! This is not a get skinny quick scheme, but it is a process to enhance your overall wellness in physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual being.  As women, we are the closest creatures to nature/God. We must take care of our bodies according to natural law. It is very important that you are educated about your cultural background and Self, which is the true power that you possess.

Your connection with the universe is between you and your supreme power. It does not matter what religion you are, these are the laws of the universe, which you are born with and is found in many spiritual texts. Everything that exists is energy moving at different speeds, which means you are energy. Also, if God is everything and all that exists, that means you are God; not in ego, but from the soul. Starting here makes any and everything possible. Get in touch with yourself; the quiet part of you, which can be channeled through meditation, music, yoga, dance, or any form of movement.  This is why the spirit is number one.

This is the age of information. From a spiritual standpoint, negative and positive come from the same source, so when you tell yourself, “I can” or “I can’t”, you’re absolutely right.  You become what you think. There is a philosopher named René Descartes (who got all of his and every other philosopher’s information from the Egyptian Mystery Schools) that said, “I think, therefore, I am”, meaning whatever you think about, you bring about. Law of Attraction is everything! If you believe you are something, you are just that. If you say I am healthy and I am in shape and BELIEVE it, your physical will follow. Starting with a positive mindset will get you far in your health journey. Start now by saying, “I am healthy, I am in shape, I am healthy, I am in shape!!! Feel it, BELIEVE it, and see it!

Awareness of your emotional state is a priority.  When you are aware of your emotional state and you understand that you have the ability to respond instead of reacting upon the situations that are uncontrollable, you become the orchestrator of your own choir, meaning; you possess the power to look at something as a failure or look at something as a learning curve. If you fall once, understand that you had to be standing at one point in order to fall. Perspective is the key to honing in on your emotional skills. Do not be a victim of your emotions, but understand that your emotions are your navigational system. Do not say “no” to what you don’t want; move to the left, and say, “yes” to what you do want. That distant image of what you see yourself as in goal form should be the example of what your emotional state should be at all times!

Now we’re getting to the most anticipated part, the physical body. Your body is your temple. Let me ask you a question. If you got a brand new house, would you fill it up with dirt and filth, or lavish it with the best furniture?  What you put into your body is a reflection of you and your physical being. Most of the foods they are providing us with have been chemically altered and processed in ways that are not conducive to our health, so it is important that you are educated on the food system. You cannot, and I repeat, CANNOT be healthy eating fast foods, candy, GMO, processed foods, etc. It will cause you a major setback in your health journey if you indulge in these types of foods. Exercising is a MUST! Getting your heart rate up on a regular basis is going to speed up your metabolism and burn fat. What I did personally, is cut everything cold turkey. You must do this in order to put your body in shock and start making changes (cleansing your body). I am going to give you guidelines for 21 days. If you understand all the knowledge I have provided you with, this will be a breeze! I believe in you and I know you will be the best you!

For 21 Days:

• Drink water ONLY! No juice, sodas, etc.
• No white bread, no bagels, no pasta, no rice (whole grain only, nothing white)
• Baked chicken only
• No fast foods
• No sweets, pastries, candy, etc.
• Eat lots of salads
• Eats lots of fruits and vegetables
• Replace some meals with green smoothies
• Home cooked meals and do meal prep for the week

• Workout at least 3 times a week
• Do intense cardio (treadmill, elliptical, or bike) for 30+ minutes each workout session; burning at least 350 calories
• Do strength training:
Monday: Arm Day
Tuesday: Ab Day
Wednesday: Leg Day

(Rotating will give your muscles time to relax)
